Doctor advises customer to be hospitalised.
Customer present e-medical card on FWD Health Hub app or NRIC/Passport.
Doctor send completed Admission Form to MiCare.
MiCare assess customer’s eligibility for GL* facility.
Note: Customer can submit inpatient GL request through FWD Health Hub app, monitor the real-time status, and check if the GL is covered.
MiCare issue GL to Hospital for hassle-free admission.
MiCare will send a decline letter to hospital and customer
Customer to decide whether to seek treatment by self-paying then file a claim after discharge. Alternatively, customer may opt for personal insurance or transfer to government hospital.
*Guaranteed Letter (GL) is an authorisation document issued MiCare. This letter guarantees that the hospital will receive payment for the covered medical expenses incurred by the customer.
You’re getting discharge! Follow these simple steps for a smooth discharge process.
Doctor confirms the final diagnosis and advises patient to be discharged.
Discharge procedure begins.
Hospital compile all medical expenses incurred from different departments and other relevant medical reports.
Note: Customer able to track Live GL status and also able to view the softcopy of the final GL via FWD HealthHub app.
Hospital uploads the final bill to MiCare. The final GL will be issued within 1 hour after receiving complete documentation
Patient to pay for any uncovered/excess charges before discharge
