Job Purpose

• Responsible for the overall Investment Operations functions, which includes recording, settlement, valuation, accounting, reconciliation and reporting of investment transactions and balances, in compliance with all regulatory requirements and company/Group policies.

Job Responsibilities

• Check all investment trades in line with approved policies and/or authority.
• Ensure timely and complete recording of all investment trades.
• Verify accuracy of investment trade tickets to external confirmations.
• Oversee the preparation and execution of instructions for trades and settlement on a timely basis.
• Provide input to SLAs (Service Level Agreements), and ensure execution in accordance with agreed SLA.
• Obtain the necessary statements and reports to facilitate recording, settlement, valuation, accounting and reconciliation.
• Verify that fees and charges in line with agreements.
• Check accuracy of recording against supporting documents, as relevant.
• Maintain a complete and accurate set of investment records (system in use being Portfolio Management System “PMS”), including dividend vouchers for tax purposes.
• Ensure timely and accurate update of market values to PMS.
• Ensure maintenance of records for Daily NAV (Net Asset Value) computations for investment-linked funds.
• Ensure completeness and accuracy of journals posting to GL (system in use being SUN Systems), in compliance with regulatory requirements, company/Group policies and guidelines.
• Review investment accounts balances pre-financial close.
• Manage delivery of various investment reporting per regulatory, company/Group requirements, on time and quality.
• Check computation and journals for NAV of investment-linked funds. Ensure timeliness and accuracy of computation and communication of daily fund prices, with identification and escalation of errors (external or internal), if any.
• Provide inputs to Annual Fund Performance Reports.

Requirements:

• Possess a Bachelor's Degree, or Professional Degree in Finance, Accountancy, Banking, Business Studies, Administration, Management, Commerce or equivalent.
• At least 3 year(s) of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
• Experience in fund management - reporting and restructuring of funds.
• Key competency in investment operations, accounting and bank reconciliation.
• Able to multitask and meet tight deadlines.
